About Me

Hello! I have been crafting ever since I can remember. I am retired now, and have gotten more into making handmade cards. I have also done some scrapbooking and a couple orders for wedding invitations. I really enjoyed doing them! Also have a few baby items I have made, used to sew all the time, but the cards have taken over now!

Welcome to my craft room.

This is the place where I keep track of the cards I have made.

Glad you could stop by and take a look.

Blog-a-Doodle Challenge Card

This is my entry for the Blog-a-Doodle Challenge 4. It was made with a digital stamp image, called Riding Lesson. I started with brown cardstock, and then mounted the cowboy paper, ( Sorry the brown card edge does not show up too well in the photo). Distressed all the edges of the papers and used foam pads to add some depth to the layering. Tied a piece of raffia, and added 3 stars.

You can stop on over at www.stamp-n-doodle.blogspot.com/p/challenges_23.html and check out their other digital stamps, and challenge cards.

Daisy Thankyou

Got some new punches while I was away and used one on this card. Decoupaged the bouquet of flowers and added a bow, a very simple thankyou card.

Tri Shutter Mini Album

I wanted to try and don one of these Mini Albums. I finally finished after a few mistakes! lol. The template is easy to cut out, the hardest part for me was trying to figure out what to put in it!

The photos are of the cover, first page opened and opened all the way. I did not end up adding any extra embellishments, maybe on the next one I do..........was getting tired of doing the same card for two days!

My First Blog Challenge

This is my entry for the Incy Wincy Colour Challenge http://incywincydesigns.blogspot.com/
Autumn colours, Red, Yellow, Brown, Orange & Green.
I needed a Sympathy Card right away, and thought this would make a really nice one for a male friend of the family. Was really pleased with how it looked. I 3D the maple leaf and used a glitter pen on the veins.

Frog Get Well

Really liked the frog image, but do not like how the distressing turned out!

Thankyou Card

Made 30 of these! Took more time than I thought it would!

Masculine Sympathy Card

Printed the trees on vellum, mounted on chocolate brown textured cardstock, stamped sentiment and added corner peel offs. Bade card is off white textured paper to which I added a torn piece of leather looking paper.

Circle Lady 03

Another first for me, used distressed ink on this card.

Circle Lady 02

Used Crystal Laquer for the first, and it made the image look like an Epoxy Sticker.

Colour Challenge Sepia

Another colour challenge card, using my dog as the image for this one!

Oriental

I did this card, just because I loved the image and the colours!

New Home Card

Youngest daughter is moving into her first home next week! She is very excited about it.
Printed off the backing paper, 3D the frog, and added a dragonfly embellishment.

Scene Card

This was done for a card challenge, had to be a Scene card. the image is 5 layers, but it doesn't show up well.

Tooth Fairy Cards

Made these for the grandchildren, so they can put
their tooth in the little envelope for the Tooth
Fairy! There is a tiny piece of velcro attached
to the flap of the envelope to close it, Slip the card
into an envelope and place under your pillow and
wait and see what the Tooth Fairy brings you!

Egyptian Lady

This is a new theme for me to do. Printed the background paper and the image onto glossy photo paper, which was then mounted on textured burgandy papers. Stuffed a feather under one corner and thought that was enough to embellish this card.

Risque Valentine

Could not resist using this image for a valentine card!
Lady in the champagne glass is a 3D image, with some sparkle added on some of the detail.
