About Me

Hello! I have been crafting ever since I can remember. I am retired now, and have gotten more into making handmade cards. I have also done some scrapbooking and a couple orders for wedding invitations. I really enjoyed doing them! Also have a few baby items I have made, used to sew all the time, but the cards have taken over now!

Welcome to my craft room.

This is the place where I keep track of the cards I have made.

Glad you could stop by and take a look.

Another Scrapbook

This time I did a scrapbook for my niece's birthday, she is turning 25!

This is the front of the Album.

Sympathy Card

Sympathy cards seem to be one of the hardest to make, so I always tend to do a very simple one.
For this one, I used one of the Cuttlebug folders, and added some pearl drops and a ribbon.
Mounted it a couple of times, and punched a border on the bottom.

Check out this great Blog!

I just found this great Blog that has lots of Hints and Tips, I shall be spending some time checking it all out!!! So pop on over to http://craftmadandlovingit.blogspot.com/ and check it out!

Finally got a couple cards made!!

OMG, have not managed to make too many cards this month, it has been sooooo hot, could hardly stand it! Today was a much cooler day, and I felt like making a couple cards.

Spotty Pig Challenge Card

Loved this image of the Little Cup Cake Boy!
( No I wasn't drunk when I put the corners on, they are on pop up dots, just the angle I took the photo on!!! )

MCS Fairy

This is a Birthday card for a friend. The images are from MCS. Have posted the front of the card and the inside with the verse.
I added some gems on the flowers and glitter on the fairy's wings. The colour in the photos is not all that great, but the background colour is a very soft pink.

WOW!

I won the card challenge on the Stamp -n- doodle Blog!!!! They gave you a free digital image to do the challenge card with. Now I get to pick out another free digi image!!!
Thanks Stamp -n- doodle!!!!

My First Word Book Card

Well, after two attempts, cause I wrecked the first one, I finally managed to finish my first Word Book Card!
I did not have a template to go by, so kind of winged it! I think I should of used a thicker font, and that would of made the letters more prominent. But shall try that on the next one.

Ribbon Blanket

My youngest grandaughter is 9mos now, and she just loves the tags that are anything, and they go directly into her mouth. She also has a star that is on one of her toys, it is made of fabric, and that goes right into the mouth, but it also has some kind of filling in it that makes a crinkly noise, which she likes. So I made her a ribbon blanket and added a flower to the top, and inside the petals, I have sewn in two layers of a plastic grocery bag. So now when she grabs them, it will make the crinkly noise too! ( Everything attached to the blanket has been stitched 3x's, so that it is afixed well)

Blog-a-Doodle Challenge Card

This is my entry for the Blog-a-Doodle Challenge 4. It was made with a digital stamp image, called Riding Lesson. I started with brown cardstock, and then mounted the cowboy paper, ( Sorry the brown card edge does not show up too well in the photo). Distressed all the edges of the papers and used foam pads to add some depth to the layering. Tied a piece of raffia, and added 3 stars.

You can stop on over at www.stamp-n-doodle.blogspot.com/p/challenges_23.html and check out their other digital stamps, and challenge cards.
Finally got around to doing a few cards this week......have been too busy working outside cause the weather was so nice. Today it is freezing again, so was a good day to be in the craft room.

Another Baby Boy

This is one of Krafty Nikki's images, she has some great 3D sheets!

Baby Boy

This is an image from My Craft Studio cd. Am still not used to the program, but shall keep trying to figure it out!

40th Anniversary

Love those Art Deco images!!!

AWOL

I went to visit my granchildren, for almost 6wks, and ended up sick while I was there! Not nice to have to go see a Dr when you are in another country. Am finally getting back to normal now.

Have managed to make a few cards now, just could not get my mojo back! ( I think it is slowly returning now)

MCS Deco Lady

Another MCS Design, layered the Deco Lady, trimmed the oval with some glitter. I love Deco designs!

The Wedding Dress

Have just started using My Craft Studio program and designs, need lots more practice on putting the cards together using it. I layered the wedding dress and then added some sheer fabric to the dress.

Daisy Thankyou

Got some new punches while I was away and used one on this card. Decoupaged the bouquet of flowers and added a bow, a very simple thankyou card.

Black Shoes Card

I just got a new CD from a friend, it is a Kalidescope Program. Have spent awhile playing with it, just to see exactly what it can do........must say, I am very impressed with it!! Since I needed a Birthday card made, decided to use the program to make the background. Think I will have lots of fun with this one!

The card below has 3D shoes, and popped out the circle text, added a couple of gems and it is done!
Very simple to make!

Grandson's Scrapbook

Well, I almost have the book done, just a couple more pages and few more embellishments to add!! Why is it so hard trying to pick out which photos to use, you go through piles of them and it takes days to do that!
