About Me

Hello! I have been crafting ever since I can remember. I am retired now, and have gotten more into making handmade cards. I have also done some scrapbooking and a couple orders for wedding invitations. I really enjoyed doing them! Also have a few baby items I have made, used to sew all the time, but the cards have taken over now!

Welcome to my craft room.

This is the place where I keep track of the cards I have made.

Glad you could stop by and take a look.

Christmas Cards

Oh my......have never got so many cards done at one time! Must of been on a roll last night.
The first two cards are from a download I bought from Making Handmade Cards, last year, and am finally getting around to using some of them.

The next one is for a family member who loves horses! So thought this 3D Decoupaged card was fitting. I turned it into sepia colour and only coloured the wreath, added a little raffia for a bow.

This image is a Christmas Stamp, that I have had for a long time. I loved the image, but just could never figure out how to colour it, so now I don't, just make it all one colour. The background paper has been 3D, and so has the Santa image, the camera is making a shadow and the card itself does not have any blue on it!

This template of the Patchwork card, makes it so easy to whip up a card. I was lucky to get the template from the Imag-e-nation Card Group.

The following two cards are made for two of my Grandchildren and are some images that I put together for the card front, added a shadow effect and the text. Also put glitter on the baubles, but it doesn't show up in the photo.

Have entered the Blog Challenge over at http://incywincydesigns.blogspot.com/ This week the colours are Red and Green.

Penguin Christmas

This is first card done using My Craft Studio, well actually it is the first one done that I like! I did do another one but was not the least bit happy with it at all.

I am trying to learn how to use MCS, and am not very good at using it, thank goodness a good friend Lizzie, from across the ocean, is trying to help me figure it out!

Christmas Slider Card

This is my challenge card for http://incywincydesigns.blogspot.com/ Challenge 15.

This is the first time I have done a Slider card, used a dark green linen cardstock. I also used Tracey's free pinstripe paper and poinsettias, from http://www.fredshesaid.blogspot.com/

I don't use a lot of embellishments on cards, so only used a few peel offs, and some glitter glue, as I thought the flowers where enough of an embellishment.

Monochrome Christmas

Just decided at the last minute to do the Challenge card from http://allsortschallenge.blogspot.com/ I am trying to build up my supply of Christmas cards, so far have 2 made!

Krafty Kards Christmas Theme Challenge

Well, this is my first Christmas card made this year, and probably would not of started yet, if Liz had not done this challege!! So I guess I am ahead this year! hehe.

Also is the first time I did any stitching on a card, as I am too lazy to pull out the sewing machine....but I did manage to do it today! ( cause I do have some sewing to do). Not so sure it was a good thing to do, cause the thread kept getting jammed for some reason, but I did manage to do it.

Made this card using some backing papers I got from Handmade Cards.com, I went crazy last year and bought all her Christmas Kit downloads, but did not get to use them, but I am going to use them this year!

Old Friends

This was a special card made for three old friends that got together after almost 30yrs. I used a photo I took from our first snowfall this year and a photo of the 3 of them. I did some fiddling and placed the 3 men under the tree and put Santa hats on them all. Then sent it as a Christmas card to the two that were visiting! I think it turned out great!

Bringing the tree home

Another quick card done.

Square Christmas Card

Not done too many square ones, this one is done on the heavy scrapbook paper.

Photo Card 02

Used another photo for this card, added snowflake border and gold trim.

Photo Card

Used a photo of our first snowfall this year to make this Christmas card.

Christmas window

This was an easy card to make, printed off the
window and mounted it onto red textured card
stock. Used the border punch and added some
peel off stars.

Christmas Bells

The bells are an embossed sticker, cuttlebugged all the background papers, and then used some sand paper on the red paper so the design would show up.

Vintage Card

First card I have made using new backing papers and images, they are all printables. You can't tell by the picture, but it is mounted onto a brown, textured cardstock, and then added the printed backing paper, framed the santa, and added the Merry Christmas medallion and a few gems.

Snowmen

Printed the snowmen image and mounted and added a little bit of texture using the Cuttlebug and some die cut snowflakes.

Noel card

Another very simple one, used a heavy, textured cardstock, mounted the printed image onto red and then gold backing paper and added the bow.

Art Deco Lady

I love the Art Deco ladies! This one I put a frame around the image and then added the greenery to the bottom.

Snowman Family

Stamped the background of the card, then applied the 3D Decoupaged snow people, inked around the edge and added sheer ribbon.
